35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
30 And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole.
11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
