2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
34 And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law:
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
